Web2.0 unconference (BarcampHyderabad) |
Barcamp Hyderabad is in the series of BarCamps being organized around the world- an adhoc Technology “Unconference” format. Here there are no spectators and everyone participates. Either deliver brief talks, a demo or atleast actively interact. (Inspired by the announcement of BarcampDelhi. Event went off very well on Mar 4th.)
In a BarCamp, Attendees are strongly encouraged to give a demo, a session, or help with one. You can help by taking notes on the wiki, blogging the event, helping to promote the event, or helping with logistics. The tech community in Hyderabad is encouraged to join this UnConference- the BarCamp-Hyderabad. Theme- Web 2.0.

Theme: Web 2.0: Rich UI, Tools, Solutions and SOA/Enterprise Applications
Discuss the Web2.0 technology, its application possibilities, integration with SOA. Via a series of talks on the various aspects of the technology, demos and discussions around some of the implementations of Web 2.0. Extend these to an interactive brainstorming on what else is possible with Web 2.0. In the tools and products space (entrepreneurial possibilities), in solutions space (using Web 2.0 for a rich UI for applications) and in simple regular applications. (List of topics)

Particpate- beyond just attending
Thelevel of particpation is really upto you. The theme of the barcaamp is Inflections in Internet: Web 2.0, Internet as a Software, Service Oriented Architecture and other hot tech in 2006 creating entreprenuerial possibilities.

- Insights into the technology
- Overview of various technology components of Web 2.0
- How Web 2.0 can provide the rich UI layer for enterprise backends such as J2EE, .NET & the emerging SOA
- Experiences using the Web 2.0 platform
- Existing Web 2.0 tools- and new ones that could be built/needed
- Demo of solutions/tools you have built (Web 2.0 related)
How you will bring:
- Just get your laptop or a mem stick, with a presentation, talking material (images/slides) or demos
- Be prepared to speak (if willing) for 15-20 minutes
- Be ready to interact, probe, question & give ideas
- Have an open mind...
Format of this BarCamp
- 6-8 pre-scheduled talks (based on interest expressed here) on Web2.0 & its usage
- 6 unscheduled slots, that will be given on first come basis on the day of the Unconference
- Each slot will be for 15 minutes. With 5 minute discussion time
- Discussion time will be allowed to overrun- as the discussions are the purpose of the Unconference
- March 25th, 3pm to 8pm
